I’ve been around the block a few times.

Along the way, I’ve been trained by mentors who invested in me, received a fine education, and have been bless by people in the many churches I’ve had the privilege of serving. They have been patient with me, encouraged me, and often afforded me the opportunity to lead.

Our Lord has also extended unmerited favor by permitting me to team up with my colleagues at Turnaround Pastors to add to the research literature on pastoral leadership in church revitalization. My friends and partners have made significant contributions to the Church, and it has been a great reward to join them in that.

Even more than all that, I am astounded that after more than fifty years of marriage, my wife still introduces me as her first husband. We are the proud parents of four children and seven grandchildren, all of whom bless the lives they touch.
